Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our work together

Why should I start therapy?

Therapy helps you identify your feelings, thought patterns, and behaviors. This process makes it easier for you to regulate your emotions and cope with life’s challenges while also helping you build stronger relationships.

Besides your stated specialties, can you help with other issues in my life?

Definitely. Human beings are complex, and no single issue exists in a vacuum. As a trained and experienced clinician, I am here to help you navigate life’s challenges, whatever they may be for you.

How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?

Just as you would assess a doctor, accountant, or other professional to determine if they are a good fit, it’s essential to find a therapist that matches your needs. You’ll be able to evaluate our compatibility during a free consultation (about 10 to 15 minutes long). Ultimately, I want you to get the support you need, so if I believe that you’d be better served by a different clinician, I will do my best to provide you with options.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone is unique and comes to this process for their own distinctive reasons. My general approach is short-term, solutions-based, and collaborative. Together, we will develop a therapeutic plan tailored to your needs.

Where will we meet?

I am available for both virtual and in-person sessions in midtown Manhattan (42nd St. / 5th Avenue).

How often will we meet?

Each session will last between 50 and 60 minutes. Typically, we’ll meet weekly or every other week, depending on availability and the urgency of the issues you’re facing.

What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24-hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. No-shows and late cancellations will incur a fee.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I am registered with the Alma, Talkspace, and Rula platforms, which handle all insurance information and approvals. Alternatively, if you have out-of-network benefits or prefer to pay directly, I can provide a superbill.
